A. Nepotism is strictly prohibited.

B. No supervisor, Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, board or commission spokesperson, CEO/general manager, director, or Chief Judge may hire or directly supervise an employee who is a member of his or her immediate family.

C. Upon notice of any violation of this anti-nepotism provision, the supervisor, Chairperson, board or commission spokesperson, CEO/general manager, or Chief Judge must cure the violation.

1. The Chairperson may cure a personal violation by permanently delegating supervisory authority over the employee to the Vice-Chairperson.

2. A supervisor, board commission spokesperson, CEO/general manager or Chief Judge may cure a personal violation by permanently assigning supervisory authority of the employee to another supervisor. The Chairperson or designee must approve any such reassignment of supervisory responsibility. (Res. 2021-43; Res. 2019-50; Res. 2016-35; Res. 2014-17)
