The Building Official shall have responsibility for monitoring all planned or ongoing construction and all workplace safety and personal safety to ensure compliance with this chapter, and shall investigate any complaint submitted to the Office relative to any alleged violation of this chapter.

If the Building Official concludes that a provision of this chapter has been violated, he or she shall inform the person allegedly in violation of the concern, including the specific provision(s) of the applicable codes, and remedial action requested, with notice of same to the Director of Administration. An alleged violation of any provision of this chapter by a tribal member or governmental entity shall be resolved by the Director of Administration. (Res. 2019-35)
