The purpose of this chapter is to ensure the safety and protection of children, vulnerable adults and elders from abuse by establishing laws prohibiting abuse and a process to bring charges against those committing abuse. The Tribal Council has determined that the health, safety and welfare of its tribal members is an internal, domestic relations matter of the Tribe. (Res. 2023-59)
