A. Maximum Disbursement. Subject to Section 13-303, a beneficiary is eligible to receive up to the maximum annual assistance each fiscal year.

B. Annual Assistance Payment. The Tribe will disburse the total annual assistance amount to each beneficiary as determined by the office of the Chairperson and in accordance with the annual budget approved by Tribal Council each fiscal year.

C. Disbursement Process. Program assistance will be disbursed to or on behalf of the beneficiary as follows:

1. The payment of annual assistance shall be in the form of program assistance, and/or department services provided which will be deducted from the annual assistance payment amount determined by the office of the Chairperson and the budget approved by Tribal Council, by a tribal check or direct deposit payable to the beneficiary, except in the case of an incompetent member. If paid by tribal check it shall be mailed to the latest known address of the eligible tribal member; and/or

2. Eligible tribal members may also bring in receipts for allowed assistance and seek reimbursement directly from the program. The eligible tribal member must have a remaining unused balance to the annual assistance payment.

3. Beneficiaries shall retain receipts and documentation for program assistance in accordance with established program policies and procedures. (Res. 2023-44 Exh. A; Res. 2023-18 Exh. A; Res. 2022-78 Exh. A)
