The use of qualified interpreters or audio translating service is authorized in judicial proceedings involving hearing impaired or non-English speaking individuals. Such interpreters are deemed officers of the Court who must maintain high standards of professional conduct to promote trust and confidence in the administration of justice. The Court Clerk shall be responsible for securing qualified interpreters upon request of a party or upon the Court’s own motion. Costs for interpretative services shall be paid by the Court, provided funds are available. The Court may also use the services of a speech-to-text audio translator, if available.
