Article IV. Filing and Service

Unless a rule makes an exception, all pleadings, motions, and other papers filed with the Court shall comply with the following:

A. Must be double-spaced and typewritten in Arial or Times New Roman twelve (12) point font, or legibly printed by hand only on one (1) side of the page to avoid errors when copying the documents.

B. Pleadings must be on eight and one-half (8.5) by eleven (11) inch white paper.

C. All pages must have margins of one (1) inch from the edge of the paper.

D. All cases shall be styled by naming the type of case and identifying the parties in the case. “Party 1” is the party filing the matter. All other parties shall be identified in numerical order.

E. Unless a rule makes an exception, the top of the first page must contain the following information in substantially the same format:

IN THE WILTON RANCHERIA COURTS
WILTON RANCHERIA

[Name of Party Filing the document]

[Contact information of the party filing the document including telephone and email at a minimum]

Re: [subject matter of dispute/type of case]

[Name(s)],
Party 1,

and

[Name(s)],
Party 2.

Case No.

[TYPE OF DOCUMENT]

F. Case numbers are assigned by the Court Clerk at the time the case is filed.

G. The case number must be included in the bottom of each page to ensure the document is filed with the correct case number.
