Judges shall not be candidates for tribal office while serving as judges, nor shall judges be actively involved in the campaign of other candidates for elected positions of the Tribe. In the event a judge decides to run for an elected position of the Wilton Rancheria, they shall take a leave of absence from judicial service from the date of filing candidacy documents through the date the election results are finalized. If the campaign is unsuccessful, the judge may resume his or her judicial duties. (Res. 2021-43; Res. 2020-59; Res. 2020-42 Exh. A)
