A. The cited person decides to contest the citation instead of paying the fine by filing a written request for a hearing with the Tribal Court.

B. The request for hearing must state why the cited person contests the citation and may include any attachments that support the cited person’s statement. Forms are available from the Court Clerk.

C. The Court shall send the request for hearing to the Tribe upon filing.

D. Tribe may file a response to the request for hearing at least seven (7) days prior to the hearing scheduled by the Court Clerk. The Tribe must also deliver a copy of the response to the cited person and file proof of service with the Court Clerk. (Res. 2020-61)
