A. The Chief Directors shall submit to the Tribal Council, through the Chairperson, a final written annual report within sixty (60) days of the end of each calendar year. It will report on the activities of the Department of Administration, achievement of the goals and objectives for the previous calendar year, and the impact, if any, of fiscal constraints on its current goals and objectives. Each Chief Director shall be responsible for the portion of the final written annual report associated with their Division.

B. The Chief Directors shall submit a quarterly report to Tribal Council, through the Chairperson, on the activities of the Department of Administration, achievement of the goals and objectives for the previous quarter year, and the impact, if any, of fiscal constraints on its current goals and objectives. Each Chief Director shall be responsible for the portion of the quarterly report associated with their division.

C. The Chief Directors shall report all major employment disciplinary actions to the Office of the Chairperson on a monthly basis. Hiring and firing decisions shall be shared with Tribal Council during the Chairperson’s report during executive session to Tribal Council.

D. The Tribal Council may require the Chief Directors to provide reports responsive to Tribal Council inquiries by resolution within fifteen (15) days after such a request. Tribal Council Spokesperson shall first consult and confer with the Chairperson for at least seven (7) days prior to requesting a report(s).

E. If emergency circumstances arise that may require immediate action by the Tribal Council to preserve or protect a substantial amount of the real or personal property of the Tribe, the Tribal Council may require the Chief Directors to respond to Tribal Council inquiries within a reasonable time, consistent with the complexity of the information requested and the immediacy of the need, if the Tribal Council has:

1. Submitted a request to the Chairperson and did not obtain a response within a reasonable period of time; or

2. Sufficient justification to believe that the Chairperson will be unable to respond within a reasonable period of time.

F. The Legal Division and Attorney General are excluded from the reporting requirements of this section. Reports provided pursuant to this section shall not include sections involving the Legal Division or the Attorney General.

G. The Personnel Division and Chief of Staff are excluded from the reporting requirements of this section. Reports provided pursuant to this section shall not include sections involving the Personnel Division or the Chief of Staff. (Res. 2023-55; Res. 2018-43. Formerly 7-401)
