A. Article VI, Section 2 of the Constitution authorizes the Tribal Council to make the Tribe’s laws.

B. Article VI, Section 2(a) of the Constitution grants the Tribal Council the power to make all laws, including resolutions, codes, and statutes.

C. Article VI, Section 2(b) of the Constitution grants the Tribal Council the power to establish administrative departments that shall be administered by the Chairperson, such as a Department of the Treasury, Administration, Business, Housing, Health, Social Services, Education, Personnel, and any other departments as deemed necessary by the Tribal Council.

D. Article VI, Section 2(c) of the Constitution grants the Tribal Council the power to pass laws regulating the Tribe’s elections, enrollment, employment, and all other matters so long as those laws are consistent with the Constitution. (Res. 2019-35)
