The Department of Education shall promote the academic excellence, career goals, cultural values, history, and language of the Tribe’s members. In doing so, the Department shall safeguard the interests of the Tribe, enhance the sovereignty of the Tribe, and exercise stewardship over those resources committed to it by the Tribe. (Res. 2013-34)
