Article IV. Reporting Abuse

A. Mandated reporters shall immediately report any known or reasonable suspicion of abuse, potential abuse, or current or future actions that would reasonably be expected to result in abuse or potential abuse to the Director of the Department of Social Services.

B. All individuals that are not mandated reporters may report any known or reasonable suspicion of abuse, potential abuse, or current or future actions that would reasonably be expected to result in abuse or potential abuse to the Director of the Department of Social Services.

C. All reports made to the Director of the Department of Social Services pursuant to this section shall be presumed to be made in good faith. Any person who in good faith reports pursuant to this section shall be immune from any recourse under tribal law or within their tribal employment. (Res. 2023-59)
