A. Any person shall be authorized to practice as an attorney and counselor at law in the Wilton Rancheria Courts and any administrative proceeding if that individual has been admitted to the Bar Association of Wilton Rancheria.

B. The Bar Association of Wilton Rancheria shall be open to any person who is an attorney at law, is admitted to the bar of any state, and is a member in good standing of such bar.

C. The Chief Judge is authorized to establish rules for the admittance of “lay advocates” to practice before the Wilton Rancheria Courts and in any administrative proceeding.

D. All persons authorized under this section shall become members of the Wilton Bar Association and their names added to the roll of attorneys for the Wilton Rancheria Courts upon paying any annual fee that the Tribal Court may assess and taking and signing the following oath before the Clerk:

I do solemnly swear that I will support, protect and defend the Constitution of Wilton Rancheria; that I will do no falsehood or consent that any be done in the Court, and if I know of any will give knowledge thereof to a judge of the Tribal Court, that it may be reformed; that I will not wittingly, willingly, or knowingly promote, sue or procure to be sued, any false or unlawful suit, or give aid or consent to the same; and that I will act in the office of attorney in this Court according to my best learning and discretion, with all good fidelity to the Court and to my client.
