§ 2-203 Eligible costs.

A. Disbursements from the member burial fund or the nonmember burial fund must be paid directly to a funeral home, cemetery, florist, caterer, or vendor of grave markers selected by the tribal member’s family.
B. Eligible costs include any expenses related to a memorial, funeral, or burial service for an eligible tribal member, eligible family member of a tribal member, or eligible member of the community except:
1. Alcohol; or
2. Illegal or illicit substances or activities; or
3. Travel or lodging expenses of attendees; or
4. Cash or cash equivalent gifts; or
5. Expenses owed by the estate; or
6. At the discretion of the Enrollment Officer, anything deemed to be contrary to tribal public policy. (Res. 2015-17)
