A. In the event that a vacancy occurs in a department director position or in the Tribal Council, the Chairperson shall nominate a candidate to fill the vacant position.

B. The Chairperson shall only submit one (1) name as a candidate for each position that is vacant.

C. When nominating a department director, the Chairperson shall include with the nomination letter to the Tribal Council a complete résumé of the candidate, a list of at least three (3) letters of personal and/or business reference for the candidate, and any background investigation that has been conducted on the candidate. When nominating a member of the Tribal Council, the Chairperson shall include within the nomination letter to the Tribal Council verification that the individual nominated has passed the required felony background check.
