Article III. Lawmaking Process

A. Any Tribal Council member may formally submit a proposed measure or resolution for consideration by motion. Any motion must be seconded by a second member of the Tribal Council and approved by a majority of the quorum present at a Tribal Council meeting to be deemed carried by the Tribal Council.

B. Motions shall be taken to address procedural positions of the Tribal Council such as the approval of minutes and adjournment of meetings.

C. Motions should be made when a resolution or law is formally submitted to the Tribal Council for approval. (Res. 2018-68; Res. 2015-23; Res. 2014-36; Res. 2012-20)
