A. Resolutions shall be the formal written decisions of the Tribal Council.

B. Resolutions shall be adopted by the Tribal Council in taking any of the following actions:

1. Passage of an annual budget.

2. Passage of budget line item amendments and any individual authorization of expenditures.

3. Passage of an act or statute.

4. Amending an act or statute.

5. Confirmation of the Chairperson’s choice of a department’s director.

6. Naming the members of the Election Commission.

7. Naming the Tribe’s legal counsel.

8. Approving any treaty, compact, contract, or agreement that directly or indirectly waives the Tribe’s sovereign immunity.

9. Requesting by a two-thirds (⅔) vote of the entire Tribal Council that a special meeting to consider a constitutional amendment be called.

10. Initiating removal of a tribal official by two-thirds (⅔) of the entire Tribal Council.

11. Establishing a recurring schedule for regular meetings of the Tribal Council.

12. Actions which require immediate attention and for which, as a result, it is deemed inappropriate by the Tribal Council to follow the normal legislation process.

13. Any other action for which the Tribal Council seeks to ensure a formal, written record of its action exists. (Res. 2018-68; Res. 2015-23; Res. 2014-36; Res. 2012-20)
