§ 1-502 Elders Program Coordinator.
The Elders Program Coordinator or other similar position title will work directly with the Executive Director of the Department of Health or their designee and the Elders Committee to:
A. Suggest monthly guest speakers or seminars on topics important to the elders.
B. Suggest games, activities, and themes for the monthly elders’ activity.
C. Suggest food and/or catering for the monthly elders’ activity.
D. Advise the Executive Director of the Department of Health of all decisions, which shall be subject to availability and any limitations of the Department’s appropriated budget.
E. Suggest gifts and advise on major purchases for the elders.
F. Consult with the Elders Committee to obtain approval for upcoming elders’ activities.
G. Plan approved elders’ activities, meetings, and events.
H. Arrange for gifts and major purchases in accordance with the budget.
I. Arrange for transportation of elders to elders’ activities. (Res. 2023-30; Res. 2021-40; Res. 2014-32)
