“Act” shall mean this Elected Officials Employment Act of 2020, as amended and restated on September 19, 2023, and as may be amended from time to time.

“Business” shall have the meaning given to it in the Ethics Act, and if no such definition is given, “business” shall mean any enterprise, organization, trade, occupation or profession, whether or not operated as a legal entity for profit, including any business, trust, holding company, corporation, partnership, LLC, joint venture, or sole proprietorship, consultant or other self-employed enterprise.

“Charter” shall mean the Wilton Rancheria Gaming Authority Charter approved by the Tribal Council Resolution No. 2019-31, adopted by the Tribal Council on June 6, 2019, as amended and restated on January 14, 2021, and as may be amended from time to time.

“Elected office” shall have the meaning given to it in the Ethics Act, and if no such definition is given, “elected office” shall mean any office regularly filled by a vote of the General Council of Wilton Rancheria.

“Elected official” shall mean the Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, and Tribal Council Members, including any Tribal Council member or Vice-Chairperson who has been appointed pursuant to the Constitution.

“Election Act” shall mean the Election Act of 2013, as amended and restated on October 26, 2021, and as may be amended from time to time.

“Employment Act” shall mean the Employment Act of 2014, as amended and restated on September 14, 2021, and as may be amended from time to time.

“Ethics Act” shall mean the Conduct and Ethics Act of 2015, as amended and restated on September 14, 2021, and as may be amended from time to time.

“Full-time employee” and “full-time employment” shall have the meanings given to them in the Employment Act.

“Honorarium” and “honoraria” shall mean, in singular and plural respectively, the per hour monetary payment set forth in the annual budget narrative that is given in recognition of the professional services an elected official renders while performing the duties of their elected office.

“Wilton Rancheria Gaming Authority” or “Gaming Authority” shall mean the entity established by the Tribal Council pursuant to the Charter. (Res. 2023-54; Res. 2023-04; Res. 2020-78)
