§ 4-204 Wellness check.

A. Upon approval of the request for a wellness check, the Department of Social Services shall:
1. Complete the wellness check; or
2. Submit the request to the local law enforcement agency.
B. If the wellness check reveals that abuse of a protected individual is occurring or has occurred, the Department of Social Services shall notify the Chairperson or the Chief Administrative Officer if appropriately delegated by the Chairperson.
C. The Chairperson, or Chief Administrative Officer if appropriately delegated by the Chairperson, shall notify the Department of Social Services that shall have a duty to file a petition of abuse. (Res. 2023-59)
