In addition to the duties of a judge, the Chief Judge shall also have the duty and power to administer the Tribal Court. In doing so the Chief Judge shall:

A. Be responsible for creating and maintaining the rules of the Court, not in conflict with this code, for the orderly and efficient administration of justice.

B. Upon approval of Tribal Council, establish a Juvenile Court and Rules of Juvenile Court.

C. Hire and supervise the Clerk, deputy clerks, bailiff(s), and any other Court personnel required to efficiently administer and operate the Tribal Court.

D. Enter into agreements with the Tribal Chairperson for administrative assistance, such as finance, information technology, and human resources support.

E. Apply for and accept grant funding, consistent with the approved Tribal Court budget, to support the operation and administration of the Wilton Rancheria Courts.

F. Enter into agreements, contracts, or other obligations, with the approval of Tribal Council, to support the operation and administration of the Wilton Rancheria Courts.

G. Recommend and present a Tribal Court budget, including the Traditional Court and Appellate Panel, to the Tribal Chairperson and Tribal Council for approval pursuant to 1 WRC § 1-201.
