§ 1-202 Vice-Spokesperson.
A. Each year, at the first Tribal Council meeting following the General Council’s annual meeting, the Tribal Council will select from among its members a Vice-Spokesperson to serve for the following year; provided, however, the Tribal Council may change its Vice-Spokesperson at any time. Such selection will also occur as early as possible after the Vice-Spokesperson’s position becomes vacant for any reason.
B. The duties of the Vice-Spokesperson shall include, but not be limited to, presiding over Tribal Council meetings in the absence of the Spokesperson; acting as a timekeeper; maintaining the Tribal Council calendar; preparing, coordinating, and distributing the agenda for Tribal Council meetings; making formal written presentation to the Chairperson of all decisions of the Tribal Council; and preparing and presenting to the Chairperson the Tribal Council’s invoices for stipends and per diems approved by the Tribal Spokesperson.
