A. Members of the Tribal Council will abide by the Constitution and all other tribal laws in performing their duties.

B. Members of the Tribal Council shall act in a professional manner at all times during meetings and while otherwise conducting Tribal Council business. Any member of the Tribal Council who physically assaults any other person during a tribal meeting or on tribal property shall be automatically suspended from the Tribal Council for a period of three (3) months. Such physical assault shall constitute good cause for removal within the Tribe’s constitutional removal process.

C. Members of the Tribal Council will not be appointed to the Tribe’s governmental or business boards, committees, or commissions, except that members of the Tribal Council may:

1. Be appointed to serve as ex officio members on governmental boards, committees or commissions pursuant to a duly passed resolution of the Tribal Council; provided, that:

a. Such appointment automatically expires on the date that such individual’s service as a Tribal Council member is terminated; or

b. Such appointment may be revoked upon recommendation of the Tribal Chairperson and approved by the Tribal Council pursuant to a duly passed resolution.

2. Serve on the Board of Directors of the Wilton Rancheria Gaming Authority pursuant to the terms of a duly conferred Wilton Rancheria Gaming Authority Charter.

In furtherance of development of a Class III gaming facility, the Tribe participates in a Development Committee pursuant to its development agreement with Boyd Gaming. As this Development Committee is an outside committee not created by laws of the Tribal Council pursuant to the Constitution, the general prohibition against members of the Tribal Council serving on tribal committees shall not apply to participation in the Development Committee.

D. If neither the Spokesperson nor the Vice-Spokesperson is physically present at a meeting at which quorum has been otherwise obtained, the Tribal Council shall select a temporary Spokesperson to serve during that meeting.

E. A member of the Tribal Council may resign from the Tribal Council by written notice to the Spokesperson. Once written notice of resignation has been made, it may not be revoked. The Spokesperson shall deliver his or her own written notice of resignation from the Tribal Council to the Vice-Spokesperson. (Res. 2018-68; Res. 2015-23; Res. 2014-36; Res. 2012-20)
