A. Members of the Tribal Council shall be paid a stipend for attendance at Tribal Council meetings and Tribal Council hearings as determined and described in the Tribe’s annual budget.

B. From time to time, members of Tribal Council may be asked to attend official governmental functions and meetings, including, but not limited to, meetings with state, local and federal officials. Members of Tribal Council may be appointed to serve as ex officio members of governmental boards, commissions or committees, or on outside boards as the Tribe’s representative. Members of Tribal Council will be compensated for attending such functions, meetings, or serving on such boards, commissions, or committees on a per diem basis, such per diem amount to be established in the Tribe’s annual budget. Tribal Council members will submit a monthly meeting attendance record to the Tribal Spokesperson for review and approval.

C. Payment of stipends and per diem to members of the Tribal Council shall be monthly. The Office of the Chairperson shall have seven (7) business days after delivery of the Tribal Council’s monthly invoice to pay members of the Tribal Council.
