A. The Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson cannot work under the authority of the Tribal Council or the Chief Judge of the Tribal Court, but they are eligible to work as an employee of the Tribe’s enterprises or other businesses. The Chairperson or Vice-Chairperson, if employed at one (1) of Wilton Rancheria’s enterprises or other businesses, must provide the position’s job description to the Tribal Council, as soon as is possible, once hired.

B. If employed at one (1) of Wilton Rancheria’s enterprises or other businesses, the Chairperson or Vice-Chairperson, to the extent acting in that employment capacity, will be governed by the Employment Act and also subject to the Ethics Act. If the Chairperson or Vice-Chairperson obtains such employment, they do so with the understanding that they may be unable to act in an official capacity on matters involving their employer that come before their elected office.
