A. Tribal Council members cannot work under the authority of the Chairperson or the Chief Judge of the Tribal Court, but they are eligible to work as an employee of the Tribe’s enterprises or other businesses. Tribal Council members, if employed at one (1) of Wilton Rancheria’s enterprises or other businesses, must provide the position’s job description to the Tribal Council, as soon as is possible, once hired.

B. If employed at one (1) of Wilton Rancheria’s enterprises or other businesses, the Tribal Council member, to the extent acting in that employment capacity, will be governed by the Employment Act and also subject to the Ethics Act. If the Tribal Council member obtains such employment, they do so with the understanding that they may be unable to act in an official capacity on matters involving their employer that come before the Tribal Council.
