The Election Commission shall provide at least thirty (30) calendar days’ notice of the need for an amendment election; the date, location, and time of the amendment election; and for an amendment election, the process for voting on the proposed amendment to the Constitution. The Election Commission shall post an official notice of election at all tribal offices and facilities, on the Tribe’s website and by mail via USPS.

A. A vote to amend the Constitution may be requested in accordance with Section 3-401.

B. Notice of the vote to amend the Constitution shall be consistent with Sections 3-402 and 4-204(C).

C. The meeting procedures shall be consistent with Section 3-403.

D. The Election Commission shall coordinate with the Tribal Council and the Office of Chairperson regarding the proposed amendment information needed for the amendment election. (Res. 2021-54; Res. 2020-14; Res. 2015-24; Res. 2014-41; Res. 2013-60; Res. 2013-57)
