A. Each newly elected or appointed Vice-Chairperson shall:

1. Be a full-time employee.

2. Be designated as the Vice-Chairperson and the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the Wilton Rancheria Tribe.

3. Serve as a member of the Wilton Rancheria Gaming Authority Board of Directors.

4. Sign all appropriate documents in accordance with Wilton Rancheria policy.

5. Be obligated to perform at a minimum thirty-two (32) hours of work per week.

6. Be expected to be present within the Tribal Office or the Tribe’s properties generally from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, barring any meetings, travel, etc.

7. Not hold any other full-time position outside of the Vice-Chairperson’s elected office. The ability to hold a part-time position, operate a business, or otherwise engage in paid work outside of the Vice-Chairperson’s elected office will be governed by the requirements of the Ethics Act.

8. Be eligible for the same employee benefits of other tribal employees with full-time employment positions in accordance with tribal policies.

9. Be an exempt, salaried employee who is paid at an appropriated rate of pay/salary as a full-time employee per the process set out in Section 4-204(A).

10. Be ineligible to receive payments for any Tribal Government related work or performance beyond their appropriated rate of pay/salary as a full-time employee.

11. Submit a quarterly report to the Tribal Council on the activities of the Vice-Chairperson, achievement of the goals and objectives for the previous quarter, and the impact, if any, of fiscal constraints on the current goals and objectives. The Vice-Chairperson may choose to work in collaboration with the Chairperson and/or the Chief Directors of the Department of Administration by sending one (1) report reflecting the entirety of the organization. Each individual office: Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, and Department of Administration will detail their own goals and accomplishments in the collaborative report.

B. As a duly elected official serving their term in their elected office, the Vice-Chairperson’s employment shall automatically end when their term in elected office ends for any reason. (Res. 2023-54; Res. 2020-78)
